Tool holders should be carefully selected.

Tool holders such as the morse taper are most often found in radial and pillar drilling machines. This type of attachment is not stable and is best suited for high-speed steel drills.

Morse taper.

Machines equipped with internal cooling and a backlash-free machine attachment provide the drill with good conditions for a long life. An example of tool attachment that can be used is a hydraulic chuck or a shrink chuck they will minimize tool runout.

The tool run-out should not exceed 0,02 mm.
