With a growing presence across the Middle East and Africa, Alexandria-based BSF is helping mining, quarrying and construction customers stay productive with premium steel, proven expertise and fast, local support. For the first time in Egypt, BSF locally fabricated a complete CAT 972K wheel loader bucket using Hardox® 500 steel – bringing outstanding wear performance to the heart of this region.
The challenge
Buckets were previously imported from various countries, often with long lead times, high shipping costs and limited customization potential.
The solution: Hardox® 500
A fully localized production using Hardox® 500 in 10 mm, 25 mm and 30 mm thicknesses, applied where it’s needed the most: the cutting edge, side cutters and wear bars. Backed by SSAB’s certification and with direct access to their premium wear plate and expertise, BSF can offer customers peace of mind on quality and performance.
