The jury particularly placed high value on the extensive and transparent content in SSAB’s annual report, as well as commending the readability and usability of the report.

“Last year we made our first report based on the core option of the GRI G4 guidelines and received a commendation for the presentation of corporate responsibility and sustainability in the 2015 report. This time, we were commended for the precise and open presentation of key content from the investor angle. It’s encouraging to get outside feedback that we have succeeded in opening up the key aspects for the company’s success and made them easily readable from the investor viewpoint,” said IR manager Liisa-Maija Seppänen.

SSAB’s annual report provides information about SSAB’s financial, social and environmental impacts in 2016. The GRI report was prepared in accordance with the core option of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) G4 reporting guidelines. 

SSAB’s annual report is an interactive pdf document with an upper navigation bar to effortlessly switch from one part of the report to another. The report can be downloaded from ssab.com. The report has been published in full in English. All the parts except the GRI report have been published in Swedish and the business review has been published in Finnish.

Communications Manager Atte Kaksonen and IR Manager Liisa-Maija Seppänen went to receive the award.

ProCom – The Finnish Association of Communication Professionals has around 3,000 members. The competition assessed the readability and usability of the annual report entries, the financial position, presentation of the financial statements and the visual image. Construction company SRV received the prize for the best annual report of a listed company.
