With its anti-corrosive properties, COR-TEN® minimizes the need for maintenance and corrosion-prevention treatment, contributing significantly to low maintenance costs throughout the product lifecycle. In addition to low maintenance costs, the reduced need for corrosion prevention means less use of paint and solvents, making COR-TEN® an environmental friendly choice of steel.
Typical applications are structural components for buildings, transmission poles, bridges and many others.
COR-TEN® A cold rolled is available in thicknesses of 0.50-3.00 mm and widths up to 1530 mm as coils, slit coils and as cut to length in lengths up to 8.5 meters.
Tensile testing is carried out transverse to the rolling.
If the yield point is not pronounced, the values apply to the 0.2% proof strength Rp0.2. If the yield point is pronounced, the values apply to the lower yield point (ReL).
COR-TEN® A in cold rolled condition is supplied with thickness and width tolerances in accordance to EN 10131. More narrow thickness tolerances are available on request.
Cut to length are supplied with length tolerances in accordance to EN 10131.
Cold rolled.
COR-TEN® A has extra corrosion resistance with good formability, thoughness and weldability.
