SSAB improves availability of Hardox

SSAB is improving availability of its abrasion-resistant steel Hardox through its new Ready Made program, which will provide customers with greater delivery reliability of newly rolled products.

The Ready Made program includes the most popular items in SSAB’s Hardox line of products.

“SSAB has developed a support system that helps to achieve a high standard of delivery reliability for direct delivery of best-selling items. The sheet will quite simply become more easily available, reducing the need to allow safety margins on delivery times,” says Christer Offerman, product manager at SSAB. “For immediate needs we also have the same items in the warehouse. Depending on geographic location, customers can receive the plate after just 48 hours,” says Christer Offerman.

The standard items in the Ready Made line of products can be ordered in three sizes – small, medium and large – corresponding to about 4m², 8m² and 15m², respectively. For customers who need customized solutions, SSAB provides special solutions on request in its Tailor Made program.
