New appointments to the SSAB Management Group

At yesterday’s Board meeting, the Board of Directors made new appointments to SSAB Management Group.

Anna Vikström Persson becomes HR Director Anna takes on a new position as Human Resources Director at SSAB commencing mid November 2006. She comes from Ericsson, where she is Head of Personnel for Ericsson in Sweden. - Anna Vikström Persson has long experience from different HR positions within Ericsson. I have been very positively impressed by her and I believe that her profile will be well suited to this newly established position, says Olof Faxander, President and CEO. Göran Carlsson, Head of Division for SSAB Tunnplåt Göran Carlsson becomes Head of Division for SSAB Tunnplåt and succeeds Anders Werme, who thereupon leaves the company. - Göran Carlsson has proven to be a valuable interim CEO at SSAB Tunnplåt and I therefore find it natural that he will take on the permanent responsibility for SSAB Tunnplåt. Jonas Bergstrand, General Counsel for SSAB Jonas succeeds Bo Legelius, who retires. The General Counsel’s role in Management Group is new. Bengt Nilsson, Head of Division for SSAB Oxelösund and Martin Lindqvist, Control and Finance Director, remain in their positions. - In connection to establishment of the new Management Group, we have chosen a new control model at SSAB, with divisions rather than subsidiaries. This means that we are moving towards a more closely connected work structure with a more active Management Group, states Olof Faxander. Following these appointments, SSAB Management Group consists of the following persons and positions: Olof Faxander, President and CEO Martin Lindqvist, Control and Finance Director Anna Vikström Persson, Human Resources Director Jonas Bergstrand, General Counsel Göran Carlsson, Head of Division, SSAB Tunnplåt Bengt Nilsson, Head of Division, SSAB Oxelösund
