    General Product Description

    SSAB Virsbolt 160 and 160+ are mostly used for tunneling and construction, but could also be used in the mines.

    The tube thickness is 0.079". The bolts are delivered in bundles of 50 bolts per bundle. The bolts have a loading capacity of 35.97 kipf.

    Virsbolt 160+ is made of special steel and has gone through a precise annealing process to give the bolts excellent elongation characteristics whilst maintaining good load bearing capacity. This gives Virsbolt 160+ better capacity to follow rock deformation with squeezing ground or high strain concentration areas. The products are available within the length range of 94.488" - 236.220".

    Advantages using SSAB Virsbolt:

    • Provides immediate and full support action
    • Accomodates large rock movements and still maintain its high load bearing capacity
    • High deformability to accommodate ground movements in tension as well as in shear

            Delivery Conditions

            Dry/oiled/ plastic coated. SSAB expandable rock bolts are delivered bundled. Virsbolt 160 and Virsbolt 160+ are delivered in bundles of 50 bolts per bundle as standard.
