    General Product Description

    The ERB 160 and 160+ are mostly used for tunneling and construction, but could also be used in the mines.

    The tube thickness is 2 mm. The bolts are delivered in bundles of 50 bolts per bundle. The bolts have a loading capacity of 160 kN.

    The ERB 160+ is made of special steel and has gone through a precise annealing process to give the bolts excellent elongation characteristics whilst maintaining good load bearing capacity. This gives the 160+ better capacity to follow rock deformation with squeezing ground or high strain concentration areas. The products are available within the length range of 2.4 - 6.0 meters.

    Advantages using ERB:

    • Provides immediate and full support action
    • Accomodates large rock movements and still maintain its high load bearing capacity
    • High deformability to accommodate ground movements in tension as well as in shear

            Delivery Conditions

            Dry/oiled/ plastic coated. SSAB ERB bolts are delivered bundled. ERB 160 and ERB 160+ are delivered in bundles of 50 bolts per bundle as standard.
