SSAB Plate Components in Raahe has a wide range of production capabilities. From shop priming and precision cutting plates to shape cutting, bending and bevelling plates.
Surface treated plates
Surface treatment provides temporary corrosion protection during transport, storage and workshop handling. The plates are always shot-blasted before priming, ensuring optimal adhesion and clean surfaces that are easy to weld and cut.
Precision cutting
Precision cut plates are rectangular plates produced by oxy-propane or plasma cutting. They offer accurate dimensions and tight tolerances, supporting efficient downstream fabrication and reliable assembly.
Shape cutting
Shape cut plates are manufactured by oxy-propane or plasma cutting into customer-specific geometries. They can be supplied with marking options that support easy alignment and installation during assembly.
Bevelling
Bevelled plates can be, for example, precision-cut heavy plates delivered with welding bevels according to customer requirements. Bevelling is performed by flame cutting, mechanical cutting or machining to ensure accurate joint preparation for high-quality welding.
Bending
Bent plate components are formed to requested bending radius. Bent products can also be ordered as shop-primed, cut to shape, and bevelled. These components are delivered ready for the installation site, optimizing schedules and reducing transport and storage costs.
