For the 16th time, the Swedish Steel Prize will be awarded to innovative companies for design and construction in High strength steels. The aim of the prize is to inspire and increase knowledge about high strength steels and the possibilities they provide to develop lighter, safer, and more environmentally-friendly products.

The application period for nominations for Swedish Steel Prize 2014 is now open and the final date for applications is August 15. The winner will be announced in November at a ceremony in Stockholm. The prize is worth SEK 100,000 and the theme for Swedish Steel Prize 2014 is “Courage - let's break the box”.
