SSAB, together with Peab and bridge manufacturer Hjalmarssons, has delivered the world’s first bridge built using SSAB Zero™ steel. The pedestrian and bicycle bridge has now been installed over the E22 highway in Lund, Sweden, as part of the Swedish Transport Administration’s major infrastructure upgrade in the area.

SSAB is expanding its facility for steel powder for additive manufacturing in Oxelösund, enabling production at commercial scale, strengthening SSAB’s position in advanced materials, and meeting growing demand for high-performance metal powders for 3D printing. Production is planned to be gradually ramped up from the first quarter of 2028, with a capacity of approximately 350 tonnes per year.
