Quick delivery of combi wall piles to new customer in France

March 20, 2018 12:51 CET

SSAB made contact with the project team from VINCI Construction Maritime et Fluvial in France when they were looking for a quick delivery of combi wall piles for their project Port Haliguen in Quiberon France.

Technical details were discussed and the order was given in the middle of August 2017 to Finnish drill system producer Robit and to SSAB for the piles with interlocks and welding of the Robit’s casing shoes. SSAB delivered the piles within the requested delivery time to Antwerp and from there the material was transported by truck to Quiberon in France. The delivery included 54 spirally welded piles with welded interlocks E21 and casing shoes. Piles were 9,65 meters long. Total delivery was 190 tons.

Installation of the piles started early October and was finished during 2017. Together with SSAB’s new customer VINCI Construction Maritime et Fluvial we look back on a good project.
