Grievance mechanism for SSABs transformation project in Luleå

SSAB plans to transform the steel mill in Luleå into cost-effective mini-mill with electric arc furnaces, integrated hot rolling and further processing. The transition to fossil-free steelmaking is a major undertaking, not just in terms of technology. As the project progresses, SSAB will share information to the local community and other stakeholders at our website.

Your opinion and feedback are important to us and SSAB wishes to promote a culture of open discussion where any complaints or concerns linked to the project can be aired and addressed proactively.

Through this grievance mechanism you can report complaints and important issues for you as a stakeholder related to the Luleå construction site (for example complaints regarding traffic levels, noise, or temporary housing issues) Your information will allow us to make the impact on the neighborhood as limited as possible and help us establish and maintain trust with stakeholders inside and outside our company

Please note! Call the emergency number 112 if there is a danger to life, property or the environment and follow local procedures. Reports submitted through the grievance mechanism may not receive an immediate response.

Serious violations of SSAB’s Code of Conduct or applicable laws, such as suspicions of bribery, severe forms of discrimination or harassment or violations of competition laws should be reported in SSAB´s global whistleblowing system the Ethics Line. You will find more information about reporting options for internal and external stakeholders at our website.
