Duroxite® Pipe products are used for transporting slurry and other abrasive fluids that create sliding wear, for example in dredging. The pipes are made with a chromium-rich hardfacing layer deposited inside a mild steel pipe.
Duroxite® overlay pipes are classified so that the hardfacing material matches the type of application and wear environment.
SSAB Tech Support is happy to answer any questions you may have on the selection of Duroxite® hardfaced pipes.
Duroxite® 100 Pipe is a chromium carbide overlay (CCO) pipe for transporting abrasive material and slurries. It can withstand sliding wear in temperatures up to 350 ºC.
Duroxite® 200 Pipe is a complex carbide overlay pipe for transporting slurries and abrasive fluids. It has a longer service life and better wear resistance compared to traditional chromium carbide hardfacing pipe.
