The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) specification G40.20/G40.21 covers structural quality steel of a number of different product forms. SSAB produces structural quality plates and sheet in accordance with CSA G40.20/G40.21 with specified minimum yield strengths of 38 ksi to 70 ksi. CSA 70A is an atmospheric corrosion-resistant weldable steel with a specified minimum yield strength of 70 ksi for thicknesses up to 2.5 in.
Width: Please inquire for plate widths less than 72 in. and over 120 in.
Length: Please inquire for plate lengths greater than the listed maxima. Plate length may be limited by maximum individual plate weight of 66,000 lbs.
Tensile testing is performed in the tranverse direction. The required tensile properties are tabulated below:
1) Yield strength measured as 0.2% offset or 0.5% extension under load.
