The adoption of steel has enabled the company to reduce the weight of its vehicles, increase their load capacity and improve their operational and environmental efficiency.

Strenx^® 960 is a high-strength steel with higher toughness, lighter weight and versatility. The material has a higher yield strength, which gives it greater malleability, i.e. it improves manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending and welding.

The adoption of the new technology for the production of the Flatbed produced by the company meets the demands of the market for higher load capacity and lighter transport vehicles. Implementing Strenx^® 960 has reduced up to 600 kilos in curtain decks, maximizing operational and economic efficiency. In this way, Recasy Trailers has delivered to its customers a lighter, more load-bearing product that is more competitive in the market.

"When you reduce the weight of the unit, you can increase the payload by the amount of weight you reduce. With Strenx^® 960 we achieve a lightweight product, which provides lower fuel consumption and better tire performance," says Raymundo Barrera, commercial manager at Recasy Trailers.

Barrera also highlights the increased durability of its products. “One of the main benefits of using Strenx^® 960 steel is that the service life of a platform is increased by 40%,” he says.

SSAB operates in Mexico with a local technical team available to support its customers in all countries in the loading and transport attachment upgrade project. In Recasy Trailers’ vision, working with the support of SSAB professionals is synonymous with guaranteed performance of steel properties. “We received all the necessary support, both commercial, technical and developmental, and the support from Tomás Falcón, Technical Development Manager at SSAB, contributed to the restructuring of our entire unit, with new welding and assembly processes,” says Raymundo.
