General Product Description

The high-strength structural steel Docol S900MC is a hot-rolled steel made for cold forming, with a minimum yield strength of 900 MPa. Docol S900MC meets or exceeds the requirements of S900MC in EN 10149-2. Docol S900MC is provided as cut-to-length sheets with excellent thickness accuracy and surface quality. Typical applications include a wide range of components and parts for lighter transport solutions.

Dimension Range

Docol S900MC is available as cut to length sheets with mill edge in thicknesses of 3.00 - 10.00 mm, widths up to 1600 mm and lengths up to 13 meters.

    Comparison

The mechanical properties are tested in the longitudinal direction.

      1) If ReH is not applicable then Rp0.2 is used.

      2) For both longitudinal and transverse direction.

                  Surface Treatments

Uncoated (UC): available as rolled or pickled and oiled or pickled-dry. As pickled and oiled and pickled-dry up to 5mm thickness.

All surface treatments are in accordance with RoHS directive (2011/65/EU) and do not contain Chromium VI (Cr6+). Surface treatments provide only temporary surface protection during transportation and storage. In order to avoid corrosion damages, care must be taken to keep the products dry during transportation and storage. If they become wet, they must be separated and situated so that they are dried quickly.

                  Delivery Conditions

Docol S900MC is supplied in as rolled surface condition or as pickled surface condition. The product is thermomechanically rolled.

                  Fabrication and Other Recommendations

                  Welding, bending and machining

Docol S900MC has good welding, cold forming and cutting performance.

Docol S900MC is a cold forming steel not suited for use at temperatures above 400°C since the material may then lose its guaranteed properties.

For information concerning fabrication, see SSAB´s brochures on www.ssab.com or consult Tech Support.

Appropriate health and safety precautions must be taken when bending, welding, cutting, grinding or otherwise working on the products.
