Major updates in PileCalc

PileCalc, the design program for SSAB steel piles, had a major update in May. With totally new Pile group design function engineers can now analyze also entire pile groups.

The Pile group design functionality calculates the loads for piles in a pile group. The program uses the finite element method and the truss model in the calculation.

Antti Perälä is responsible for the project support on installation and design of SSAB pile products. Antti has Master's degree in structural engineering and has many years of experience in structural engineering and geotechnical design. In his daily work, he also holds seminars for customers and designers both in Finland and elsewhere in Europe. He also lectures on steel piles and foundations in different universities.
