Protection and security

The new police station in Järva, close to Stockholm in Sweden, is located in an area that has been plagued by social unrest and gang-related shootings. The introduction of this new building, employing 300 people, a mix of police officers and civilians, has had a remarkably calming effect on this lively area where people come and go during the day.

Protection integrated from start

The decision to use Armox® armor steel in the building’s façade was taken early in the projection phase, simplifying the installation process without compromising the architectural impression. It is now known as the most secure police station in Sweden.

The Järva police station is a good example where the blend of modern architecture, building design and protection measures can create a safer community.
