New Head of Strategy

John Klint has been appointed Head of Strategy and Business Development as of May 10. This is a new position within SSAB’s Group Executive Committee.

“We wish to strengthen our resources as regards strategic issues in the Group,” says SSAB’s CEO, Olof Faxander. “John Klint has monitored SSAB over the course of several years in the capacity of investment manager at Industrivärden and I am convinced that he will make a valuable contribution to SSAB’s continued development.” John Klint, born 1974, holds a Master of Science from the Gothenburg School of Economics. He has been a strategic consultant and partner at Occam Associates and strategic consultant at Razorfish and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. For the past three years he has been an investment manager at Industrivärden. No new appointment will be made to the position of Chief Technical Officer within SSAB’s Group Executive Committee. The position was previously held by Martin Pei, who currently heads the SSAB APAC business area. Responsibility for R&D within the Group Executive Committee is being transferred to K-G Ramström.
