New director of information at SSAB

On 1 September 2007, Helena Stålnert will assume the position of new director of information at SSAB. After three years in the position, Ulrika Ekström is moving to the consultancy firm, Hill & Knowlton.

Helena Stålnert has worked at Saab as communications director since June 2005 and, in that position, has had overall responsibility for all external and internal communications. Prior thereto, among other things she has been head of the Aktuellt news programme, programme host, and foreign correspondent at the Swedish public service broadcaster, SVT. She has also been a reporter/ head of news at both Veckans Affärer and SvD.

- I am pleased that Helena has chosen to begin at SSAB and believe that, with her long experience in the information area, she will be able to make a significant contribution. My ambition is to merge Investor Relations and Media Relations at the same time as the entire company is undergoing a phase of coordination. I would also like to that Ulrika for her fine work and wish her every success in her new position, says Olof Faxander, President and CEO of SSAB.
