Göran Carlsson new Vice President Technology of SSAB Göran Carlsson has been appointed Vice President Technology and member of the Group Management of the SSAB Group. Göran Carlsson is Executive Vice President of SSAB Tunnplåt and head of the Luleå operations. Göran Carlsson will stay in his present position as head of the metallurgy in Luleå until his successor has been appointed. In his new work Göran Carlsson will concentrate on developing further the Group´s position as one of the technologically leading steel companies in Europe. - Now the Group Management is complete, SSAB CEO Anders Ullberg comments on the appointment. Göran really has a profound knowledge of the whole Group after several years in different positions and his technical experience and broad international contacts will be of great use in his new work. Göran is my first hand choice and I am very pleased that he accepted the job. The appointment has been somewhat delayed as I waited for some of his important projects in Luleå to be completed, Anders Ullberg summarizes. - My years in Luleå have been very enriching, Göran Carlsson points out. Not only myself but also my family have had a wonderful time. It was no hard decision to accept the job as Vice President Technology in Sweden´s finest steel company. The technology in the steel business is constantly developing.
