Updated Design and installation manual for RD® pile wall
Table 12 of the manual presents the welding requirements according to the execution standard EN 12063 for retaining walls. The table has been updated regarding the attachment welds of the connectors. The new table differentiates between fillet welds and lap joints.
Connectors which can be attached by means of fillet welds include, for example, RM, RF, E21 and LBP180-10 profiles. The lap joint is used with the E22 connector, which has a section at its base parallel to the surface of the pile pipe.
Different fastenings have different inspection requirements according to EN 12063, which are now clearly separated into their own rows in Table 12.
