Small fixes and updates for Design and installation manuals for RR® and RD® piles and RD® pile walls.

Manual for RR and RD piles

Beside several smaller fixes and corrections, the Table 29 has been widened and now it shows the drill bits of totally six manufacturers; Terraroc, Robit, Mincon, RDT, Tri-Mach and Mitsubishi. The table shows those drill bits where the manufacturers have been adjusting the outer diameter of the ring bit to be in line with the outer diameter of the RDT sleeve. RDT sleeves have slightly larger outer diameter than the pile pipes, which makes it important to use drill bits where this has been considered.

The update contains small fixes for availability of pile sizes. With largest diameters, the thinnest wall thicknesses have been removed from availability. Welding of connectors causes warming and cooling to piles. With very thin wall thickness together with large diameter this can cause out-of-roundness to piles. Out-of-roundness has influence on installation of drilled RD piles that’s why these sizes have been removed.

Another updated topic is wide connector type when RD pile wall is connected to a sheet pile wall. Previously used widened E21 connector has been changed to LBP180-10 connector type. New connector type is more standard and ready-made connector profile which fits to the interlock of sheet piles.

Beside above updates, also the texts related to the grouting of the pile toe have been clarified and updated. And naturally some type errors and other small issues have been fixed.
