Updates for PileWallCalc designer tool

May 13, 2025 12:58 CEST
National Annexes of Italy have been added to PileWallCalc designer tool.

Wide coverage

PileWallCalc, the designer tool for calculating the cross-section properties and resistance for SSAB steel pile walls covers now eight countries. The countries covered are Finland, Sweden, Norway, UK, the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark and Italy.

For each country the Nationally Determined Parameters (NDP) from several Eurocode design standards have been implemented to have the results according to the desired safety level of each individual country. These Eurocode design standards in numerical order are; EN 1992-1-1 for concrete structures, EN 1993-1-1 for steel structures, EN 1993-1-6 for local buckling of steel structures, EN 1993-5 for steel piles and EN 1994-1-1 for steel-concrete composite structures.

Selecting the country

In PileWallCalc the country is selected when a project is created. The country selection sets the NDPs according to the selected country for all the calculation models in the project.

The selected country is shown also with a flag in the My Projects list in the program.

Where to find the PileWallCalc program

PileWallCalc as well as PileCalc program for SSAB pile products are available for free at SSAB Tubular Design Tools . From the same place you can also find FrameCalc and FrameFEM design tools for steel structures.
