Invitation to SSAB’s second quarter 2014 results briefing

SSAB invites you to a presentation of the quarterly report at 09.30 a.m. CET on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. The report is scheduled for publication at 07:30 a.m. CET the same date.

The interim report for the first quarter of 2014 will be presented by SSAB’s President and CEO Martin Lindqvist and CFO Håkan Folin.

The press conference will be held in English and live webcasted on SSAB’s website www.ssab.com. It is also possible to participate in the briefing via telephone.

This week, SSAB is initiating a controlled restart of the steelworks construction in Luleå after completion of the analysis of the causes behind disease symptoms. Extensive measurements have been carried out where no measurement results have shown concentrations above the applicable limit values, neither in air, gases nor in soil except what was previously known. After consultation with experts in the respective fields, the overall analysis is that symptoms have arisen because of a combination of factors, with exposure to fine dust particles from construction activities being the primary factor. The negative impact of fine dust particles is amplified as a result of low humidity and the presence of seasonal respiratory viruses.
