SSAB’s New Group Management

Stockholm 18 July, 2007 - Commencing today, SSAB Svenskt Stål AB is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its Group Management.

John Tulloch will become Executive Vice President IPSCO Division and a member of Group Management. John Tulloch has worked at IPSCO since 1977. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and head of the steel operations, as well as head of marketing and sales.

Martin Pei has been appointed as the new Chief Technical Officer. He was previously head of slab production at Oxelösund.

As previously announced, Helena Stålnert will take up the position of new Executive Vice President Communications on September 1. As previously announced, Karl Gustav Ramström will take up the position of Executive Vice President Heavy Plate Division not later than January 1, 2008.

Following the appointments, SSAB’s Group Management consists of the following persons and positions:

Göran Carlsson, Executive Vice President Strip Division
Ola Hägglund, Executive Vice President Heavy Plate Division
Karl Gustav Ramström, Executive Vice President Heavy Plate Division (commencing Jan. 1, 2008) (see above)

Jonas Bergstrand, General Counsel
Martin Lindqvist, Chief Financial Officer
Martin Pei, Chief Technical Officer
Helena Stålnert, Executive Vice President Communications, (commencing Sept. 1, 2007)

New CIO
SSAB is also pleased to welcome Tim Wensits, to the SSAB Group who will be the new Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Previously CIO at IPSCO, he will report to the head of the IPSCO division.
