Sverker Martin-Löf nominated New Chairman of the Board

Sverker Martin-Löf nominated New Chairman of the Board It has previously been announced that Leif Gustafsson, Chairman of the Board,will retire from the Board at the Annual Shareholders´ Meeting (AGM), April 2003. On the same occasion also Board Members Anders Lannebo and Clas Reuterskiöld will retire from the Board. The Nomination Committee of SSAB today announces that the Committee will recommend the AGM to re-elect Board Members Anders G Carlberg, Per-Olof Eriksson, Sven-Åke Johansson, Marianne Nivert, Jan Sjöqvist and Anders Ullberg and to elect as new Members of the Board Sverker Martin-Löf and Anders Nyrén. This recommendation has the support of shareholders representing more than 50 per cent of the number of votes and shares in SSAB. On condition that the AGM votes in favour of this recommendation the Board of Directors will appoint Sverker Martin-Löf new Chairman of the Board. Sverker Martin-Löf is Chairman of SCA and Skanska, Deputy Chairman of Industrivärden and Board Member of Ericsson and Handelsbanken. Anders Nyrén is CEO of Industrivärden and Board Member of Handelsbanken, Industrivärden, Sandvik, SCA and Skanska.
