DNV Grades NV A500, NV D500 and NV E500 are extra-high-strength structural steels with a minimum specified yield strength of 73 ksi and specified minimum Charpy V-notch impact toughness properties.

1) Tests are to be taken in the longitudinal direction. Normally, transverse test specimens are not required unless otherwise specified in the order. Impact tests not required when material thickness is less than 0.236 in. unless otherwise specified.
