Download data sheet
DNV Grades NV A36, NV D36, and NV E36 are high-strength structural steels with a minimum specified yield strength of 51 ksi and specified minimum Charpy V-notch impact toughness properties.Applications
Typical applications include shipbuilding and mobile offshore drilling units and structures.
Width: Please inquire for plate widths less than 72 in. and plate widths greater than 120 in.
Length: Please inquire for plate lengths oustide the noted ranges.
Thickness: Please inquire for plate thicknesses outside the noted ranges.
Tensile testing is performed in the transverse direction.
|Elongation A5 1)
1) See DNV Rules for elongation requirements for alternative tensile specimens.
|Test temperature(°F)||Min Longitudinal Average Energy 1)(ft-lbs)|
1) Tests are to be taken in the longitudinal direction. Normally, transverse test specimens are not required unless otherwise specified in the order. Impact tests not required when material thickness is less than 0.236 in. unless otherwise specified.
No more than one value below the specified miniminum average energy but no less than 70% of the specfied minimum average energy value.
Minimum average energy for full-size specimens. Refer to DNV Rules for sub-size specimen energy requirements.
