General Product Description

ASTM A1018 is a standard specification for hot-rolled, heavy-thickness coils of carbon steel, commercial steel, drawing steel, structural steel, high-strength low-alloy steel and ultra-high strength steel. The specification covers steel coils in thicknesses of 0.230 in. to 1.000 in. A1018 Structural Steel (SS) Grade 36 has a specified minimum yield strength of 36 ksi.

              1) For product greater than 0.75 in. thick, the Mn is 0.80 to 1.20%. For each reduction of 0.01% below the specified carbon maximum, an increase of 0.06% Mn above the maximum is permitted to a maximum of 1.35%.

              2) Production only at “Limits B” for Cu, Ni, Cr, Mo.
