The ASTM A455 specification is the Standard Specification for Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel, High-strength Manganese plates used in the application of welded pressure vessels. There is one chemistry composition defined while there are multiple strength levels available dependent on plate thickness.
Width: Please inquire for plate widths less than 72 in. For thicknesses less than 0.25 in., maximum width is 96 in.
Length: Please inquire for plate lengths less than the listed minimum or greater than the listed maximum.
Tensile testing is performed in the transverse direction.
