Reduced environmental footprint
French OEM Benne Vincent’s tipper bodies are built entirely in Hardox® wear plate. With Hardox® 500 Tuf they can use less steel and still have the same wear resistance. And the less steel they use, the less their tippers weigh and the less fuel they consume.
1 metric ton lighter
Swedish OEM B.K:s realized the full potential of Hardox® 500 Tuf when making a trailer body 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) lighter. By upgrading to this hard and tough wear steel, B.K:s’ bodies can take more payload and save fuel for every loaded ton.
20% lighter equipment
When German OEM Kempf upgraded to Hardox® 500 Tuf from a 450 HBW steel they made the tipper body around 20% lighter. Not only that, but thanks to the increased hardness they increased the service life by as much as 30%.
