SSAB ERB 240 and SSAB ERB 240+

The ERB 240 and ERB 240+ are mostly used for tunneling and construction, but sometimes also in the mines, especially when thicker material or higher strength is needed. The tube thickness is 3 mm. The bolts are delivered in bundles of 50 bolts per bundle. The bolts have a load capacity of 240 kN.

The ERB 240+ is made of special steel and has gone through a precise annealing process to give the bolts excellent elongation characteristics whilst maintaining good load bearing capacity.This gives the 240+ better capacity to follow rock deformation with squeezing ground or high strain concentration areas. The ERB 240+ could also be an alternative to Dynamic Rock Bolts. It can absorb energy better and be used in deeper levels in the mine.The products are available within the length range of 2.4 - 6.0 meters.
