Lennéers experiences growth spurt after offering top of the line wear-resistant buckets with Hardox® wear plate
When Swedish bucket manufacturer Lennéers started collaborating with SSAB and implementing Hardox® wear plate in its products, sales increased with more than 200 percent. According to founder and managing director Dennis Lennéer, this is because the market wants top-quality products that are strong, light, and long lasting.“Our customers demand equipment that will stand the test of time,” says Lennéer. “They also want it to weigh less to optimize fuel efficiency.”
When Dennis Lennéer founded Lennéers in 2015, his objective was to fill a gap in the market for first-rate construction equipment at a competitive cost. These days, Lennéers delivers buckets and other equipment for construction and agricultural machinery to small- and medium-sized contractors in Sweden and northern Europe.
Being a small, new player on a competitive market can be tough at times. Dennis Lennéer says listening to the customers and responding to their demands has been key to the success of his company.
“Most of our customers come to us directly, not through a distributor,” he explains. “This enables us to maintain a close dialog with them and understand their needs.”
“However, the customers didn’t choose us at first. It wasn’t until we implemented Hardox that business started booming,” he admits.
Lennéers uses Hardox® wear plate from SSAB in all its products, while around 80 percent of its range is branded with Hardox® In My Body. This certifies that a product is made from genuine Hardox® wear plate and will therefore deliver unsurpassed wear resistance and impact strength, saving time and money down the road. Lennéers manufactures a total of 31 different Hardox® In My Body-branded excavator, VA, sorting, cable and planning buckets.
When products are exposed to tough conditions in the field, it is crucial that they are made from the best material. Lennéer believes Hardox® abrasion-resistant steel makes sense for customers from the point of view of both quality and cost.
“A cheap product often doesn’t end up being cheaper down the line,” he says. “With this material we can guarantee that our buckets will last longer than competitor products that aren’t made from Hardox.”
Habib Asgari has been working as a welder at Lennéers for about a year. He is responsible for welding and assembling the buckets.
“Hardox is different to other materials because it’s so easy to weld. From a production perspective it’s a good material to work with,” he says.
So far, the market has been positive to Lennéers’ products. Dennis Lennéer believes the rapid growth of his business can be linked to the strength of the Hardox® brand.
“Working with SSAB is a no-brainer,” he says. “Partly because it’s what our customers want but also due to the product development support we receive from SSAB. This helps us select the right material and design the best possible products.”
At Lennéers, the final production stage is placing the Hardox® In My Body sign on the finished product.
“The sign reminds us that we’ve made a top-quality piece of equipment that will last a long time,” concludes Dennis Lennéer.
