About the job

Your mission as Manager is to lead and develop Knowledge Service Center´s ways of working to enable SSABs business by offering a global first class technical support and development of advanced application for our products. One of the most important success factors will be your ability to plan, organize and lead the business according to SSAB One´s values and principles. We position our self between the customers and SSAB´s production operations. Therefore, we work in close collaboration with sales, customers and product development. We build and develop our specialist knowledge through customer projects, lab tests and various research networks. We are working hard to support our external customers by developing their products both remotely and on site together with the customer. For us to be successful we need to continuously develop our knowledge and follow future trends to meet a stronger, lighter and more sustainable world. 

You are a member of the Technical Support management team and report to Technical Support Manager. From you, we expect a professional management team member that actively contributes to the development of Market Development. 

  

Your qualifications

We have high expectation on you. We are looking for a leader with the ability to become a role model for others to follow and look up to. With self-awareness and an ability to generate energy through involving and engaging others, you have a good platform to build your leadership on. By tirelessly driving improvements together with your team, you create results and gives the employees an opportunity to constant develop their skills, which is necessary for us to be successful in our mission. We also expect that you put safety first, that is very important for us. In addition, understanding SSABs´ business model and how your team add business value through deep technical knowledge is one of the most important skill we except from you. We want you to actively monitor and follow the development within the steel industry. That is way you need a well develop ability to network and create relations with key stakeholders.

 

We are looking for you who have a deep technical interest and a Master of Science degree. You are an experience and appreciated leader, preferable within an international environment, with business experience. Since we act within a global environment, you need to exceed in speaking and written English and preferable Swedish. Experience as project leader with an ability to create and uphold structure is skills we don´t think you can spare. You have significant systems experience and can work unhindered in Microsoft Office.
