Hot Rolled Coil

SSAB, a global niche producer of high strength steel with a leading market position and productivity, develops solutions in order to increase the competitiveness of its customers.

SSAB North American Division's (NAD) steelmaking facility in Montpelier, Iowa has an annual capacity of 1.25 million tons. In Mobile, Alabama, the company also has an annual capacity of 1.25 million tons.

SSAB North American Division steel is custom-made in electric arc furnaces. The continuous caster and state-of-the-art rolling technology, which includes exacting width and gauge control, provide IPSCO customers with superb surface finish and uniform mechanical properties on the finished product.

NAD is certified to ISO-9001. Its Quality Assurance program monitors the steel through each phase of production. Ultrasonic tests are available when required or requested to provide a further measure of quality control.

Once the product is completed, SSAB North American Division will design a transportation package that assures convenient delivery, by road or rail to all destinations in North America.

SSAB is a name you can depend on for products of the highest quality.

Vertical edgers on IPSCO's roughing mill will give consistent widths while the finishing mill will provide superior gauge control and surface finish.

IPSCO produces coil in grades and sizes to suit customer requirements. The variable size range minimizes customer trim waste.

Finished coil can be supplied with mill or slit edges.
