What is your educational background?

“4-year technical upper secondary school.”

Håkan Leu, SSAB One coach

What do you think of your development at SSAB so far?

“During my twelve years here I’ve had four different positions. I started as a machine technician and switched to production, then operations manager, and since 2008 I’ve been working as an SSAB One coach. The last two jobs have focused more on working with soft things, like people and working methods.”

How do you see your future at SSAB?

“Very bright, partly because there is great potential to work and grow with what you want to do, and because the company invests in the future despite the recession. In my view, SSAB is a reliable company that invests in new technologies and continually develops managers, groups, and individuals in the long and short term.”

* SSAB One is a production system. Order and tidiness in the workplace are the cornerstones of the preventive health and safety programs. The continuous improvement work and implementation of best practices is supported by the SSAB One production system, which also includes the Six Sigma program. With a focus on quality and efficiency improvements, Six Sigma involves structured work for measuring, controlling and reducing deviations. Order and tidiness help prevent many accidents, while at the same time create positive synergies such as cost and resource savings.
