To improve expertise in several high-priority areas, SSAB offers training programs for several occupational groups. Safety is a top-priority goal
At SSAB we work systematically and sustainably to create a good and safe workplace for all of our employees.
As an employee at SSAB you will be able to safely go to work with the knowledge that you will return home in the same condition.
We conduct occupational safety training programs and underscore the importance of everyone taking personal responsibility for a safe workplace. We discuss attitudes and behaviors and the importance of reminding each other about things like using safety equipment.
We also carry out random drug testing as a key component in creating a safe workplace for all employees.

SSAB conducts its environmental program in a systematic, goal-oriented, and preventive manner to continually reduce its environmental impact. Knowledge, understanding, and participation among all employees are important to achieve results.
SSAB's operations are covered by hundreds of environmental conditions including regulated output levels, emissions into air and water, noise levels, and regulations for landfills. All production facilities meet their respective local environmental requirements.
