“I look forward to Swedish Steel Prize, it is a big customer event and the SSAB people are proud of Steel Prize” says Melker.

Steel Prize will also be Melker’s first introduction to the customers and many of the SSAB employees. He is looking forward to meeting both parties, especially the clients who come from many different market sectors: “I am interested and curious to meet the customers and to understand their passion, what keeps them awake at night and what is important for them”.

His excitement and passion for the SSAB business and understanding the value of client relationships are clear:  “To assist the customer from the beginning, not just to sell hardware, but also to be part of the solutions are important. We must be more than just a producer. For me it is obvious that a profitable and good customer whose needs are fulfilled is good for SSAB.”

He also states that it is essential for SSAB as an organization to be one step ahead in the chain and help our customers to find a win-win solution for their end users in turn.  Solutions and technical innovations are part of the process and these aspects differentiate SSAB as a world leader.
