SSAB's largest single market is the U.S., followed by Sweden. In 2010, these two markets accounted for 56% of SSAB's total sales. Thereafter followed Germany, Canada, and Finland.

High strength steels are mainly sold directly to end customers, while ordinary steels are also sold through distributors and Steel Service Centers.
