Why did you choose to work at SSAB?

“I had moved to Dalarna and the job I had then lacked the pace and energy that I was used to, and I also like to work in heavy industry. In addition, several of my friends had good things to say about SSAB as an employer.”

What is your educational background?

“I’m a mining engineer.”

What do you think of your development at SSAB so far?

“I’ve changed jobs twice since I was hired in 2003. The actual focus hasn’t changed since I've been working as a manager in production the whole time. I started as operations manager for continuous annealing line, then became department manager for Annealed and since 2009 manager for Hot Rolling and transport in Borlänge.”

How do you see your future at SSAB?

 “I don’t have any long term plans for my career. I have learned through the years that new alternatives pop up along the way and I try to have goals that extend within a 2-3 year horizon. It’s likely that I will remain faithful to SSAB because of the many opportunities for interesting jobs in a broad field, especially now that we are a corporation.”
